I am still proud to work for Genesys but unfortunately not proud to work for Ascension Health. As a lifelong Catholic who was educated in the Catholic school system I am baffled how the good Sisters of St Joseph can allow the treatment of employees who contribute to their NONPROFIT status. This is not the Catholic and Christian Church that I know and attend. STOP ASCENSION NOW. How can Christians treat employees in such a punitive and uncaring way?

Ascension should be ashamed of themselves for stealing money from our elderly(medicare). They should also hang their heads in shame about treating the workers as subpar. If they lie, cheat, steal and say they are doing for a good cause…is it not still lying, cheating and stealing?? They want to live by 2 seperate codes of conduct. Its not GOD’s work they are doing, they just hide behind his name! I work for them and am embarassed and ashamed to tell people I work here now. Ascension did this to Genesys, it used to be a good place to work and to get care. Now, I am nervous for our patients if they force us to strike. We will strike because we can’t afford to pay into the Ascension treasure chest. Genesys DID profit for this compnay, it just wasn’t what they wanted.
